Sixth Class recently participated in a Dragon's Den project as part of Junior Achievement Ireland. They visited the Johnson & Johnson offices in Tallaght where they pitched business ideas to members of the senior management team. A fun and enjoyable day was had by all!
The fifth classes have been completing the FYI career programme. They have been learning about career opportunities and researching the skills and subject requirements needed for these careers. The co-ordinator and Ms. Tully organised a career day in school where volunteers from a range of different careers visited each class. The children were able to chat to the volunteers about their careers and the paths leading to them. They will be visiting universities and colleges in the area early in September. The fifth classes organised and ran a cake sale in aid of St. Ronan's NS Table Tennis club. A massive thank you to all the students, staff and parents for supporting the day with their fabulous baking and generous buying. An amazing display of cakes and treats were on offer on the day and a hugely enjoyable day was had. The cake sale was the most successful one in the school's history raising a total of 850 euro for a very worthy cause. Well done! Ms. Collins class are doing procedural writing and recently enjoyed making rice krispie buns. St Ronan’s cross country running squad has been busy with three races in the South Dublin County council series since Christmas. Our runners have been fantastic, everyone trying their very best (not to mention the exemplary behaviour on race days) - We are so proud of them! The finals will be in Corkagh Park on Thursday 16th May.
